10 TIPS FOR SINGLES
ON HOW TO MAKE THE BEST OF THE HOLIDAY SEASON
With Christmas only a month away, Trudy Gilbert, Director and Founder of Elite Introductions International offers tips for single men and women on how to maximise time spent under the mistletoe.
The summer season is an ideal time to find that someone special with office parties and social get togethers’ keeping us out and about for most of December and January.
Singles dating is a hot summer topic, and it has certainly grown in status and popularity in the past years due to internet dating sites and speed dating. However, Trudy Gilbert has declined to jump on those bandwagons, preferring to revert to a traditional dating style and give it a well-needed facelift.
“Dating without guidance is like learning to drive without a lesson. The first step is to understand what you are looking for in a partner and then know where to go to find them,” says Trudy Gilbert.
There are number of things women and men need to look out for, as well as take advantage of during this time.
Here are Elite’s Top 10 tips for getting it right during the singles season:
Limit alcohol intake. Alternate with water or lime and soda to keep your wits with you! Be sensible with what you eat and keep exercising through the festive season so you feel and look good.
Dress stylishly and comfortably for your body type. It is far more appealing to be looking stylish and comfortable than in the latest fashion.
Move out of your comfort zone and make the effort to talk to people you don’t normally talk to.
Compliment people, a sincere friendly compliment is remarkable and goes a long way to speak well of your character.
Remember people’s names. Focus on their face and listen as you hear their name, to link the name and the face in your mind, then call them by their name immediately in the next sentence.
